About us
Building a soccer robot is hard for beginners. It's hard to know what to use, where to find affordable hardware, and even get started with programming microcontrollers.
When I started my own soccer robotics club, I noticed new members were having to choose between extremely expensive unaffordable kits that felt more like toys than robots, and building a custom robot from scratch on their own. It took many hours of trial and error to even learn what hardware to order, and more hours to connect them together. Sometimes, swapping two cables resulted in frying their entire robot, and that got expensive. Some teams lost motivation because after months of trying, their robot did not even move.
To solve this issue, I decided to design an affordable soccer robot kit that leaves lots of room for hardware and software customization, while also being as easy as possible to put together. And through that, the Zircon was born.
